We are seeking an Associate Traffic Signal Engineer to join our ANZ team in Sydney . As an experienced Traffic Signal Design Engineer , you will apply standards and a best practice approach to the leading and delivery of Traffic Signal design projects in NSW. You will:
Lead and Lead and prepare project lifecycle documents for Traffic Signal design projects for new and upgraded intersections and crossings. The documentation development will include (but not limited to): proposals, concept designs, detailed designs, operations & maintenance documents, schedules and estimates.
Provide technical advice and reviews on a variety of Transport projects.
Be accountable for the development and implementation of detailed traffic signals design projects.
Be accountable for the development of Traffic Signals project growth in NSW.
Proactively build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Help to identify and communicate project risks and project opportunities throughout project lifecycles.
Develop teamwork skills and possibly lead small teams.
Participate in Community of Practice and employee network groups.
Understands local strategy and growth drivers and client issues.
Here's what you'll need
Relevant Tertiary Engineering Degree or similar.
Robust knowledge of electrical, communications and systems engineering design standards as they relate to Traffic Signal design.
Extensive experience in leading Traffic Signals Design development, specifically in NSW for Transport for NSW.
Extensive experience in leading, under limited supervision, the preparation of project lifecycle documents for Traffic Signal design development, as identified above.
Ability to work under limited guidance when delivering Traffic Signal design, both on standalone projects and as part of a larger design team.
Strong experience in accurate defining scope, program and level of effort for Traffic Signal projects accountability.
Experience in the development of traffic signal timing cards and the use of SIDRA modelling for producing intersection phasing diagrams and timing data.
High level of experience in technical report writing.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong understanding in implementation of quality management and independent review process.
Experience with stakeholder engagement and management.
Experience in providing technical expertise and leadership on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) highly desired.
