About the Role
In this role, you will coordinate and manage the Policy and Doctrine Framework, ensuring policy and procedure materials are developed, reviewed and implemented effectively.
You will work closely with a broad network of subject matter experts to develop and quality assure critical policy and procedural documents. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is an important part of the role.
The role requires you to manage competing priorities, respond to urgent issues and deliver clear outcomes for a diverse audience. You will also identify and escalate issues or risks to the Manager, Policy and Doctrine.
Key responsibilities

Coordinate and support the Policy and Doctrine Framework

Facilitate the development, review and quality assurance of policy and procedures

Work with subject matter experts to ensure policy content is accurate and fit for purpose

Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Prioritise urgent issues and deliver timely outcomes

Escalate matters of interest or risk to the Manager, Policy and Doctrine
About you
-
Tertiary qualifications in policy development, emergency management, legal or other relevant field and/or proven experience undertaking a similar role in a large, complex organisation, preferably within the Emergency Services or Government sector.

High level written skills demonstrated by the ability to prepare complex and technical business documents with an operational focus suitable for a wide range of audiences.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines and deliver outcomes in high pressure environments and complex operating environments.

Demonstrated creative, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Highly developed research skills with the ability to synthesise, analyse, manage and communicate information to people at all levels.

Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills to attain and maintain effective cooperation with a diverse range of stakeholders
