About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our Insurance group in our Brisbane office.
- Providing clients with legal advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and third party contribution
- Regularly reviewing applicable case law and legislative changes
- Conducting effective legal research and analysis to produce timely, commercial and legally accurate advice
- Attending settlement conferences and mediations
- Instructing counsel at court applications and trials
- Managing a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectively
- Effective communication with stakeholders to achieve valued customer experience outcomes
- Developing an understanding of client operations and strategy
- Managing prospective client relationships
- Continual professional development and managing MCLE requirements
About you:
- 2+ years' PQE
- A desire to be an integral member of a strong, cohesive and down to earth team
- Excellent work ethic and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
- A genuine commitment to customer experience
- Previous exposure to Business Development and a natural ability to build strong client relationships
- Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously
- Interested in establishing a long-term successful career with Colin Biggers & Paisley
- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team
- Commercial acumen
- A strong, plain language communication style
- Previous experience in managing workers' compensation common law claims highly desirable
