Job Description
Your Opportunity
As a Business Analyst – Payments, you’ll play a critical role in delivering complex payments solutions across Cards and real-time payments.
You’ll work closely with product, technology and client teams to define requirements, drive discovery and translate business needs into actionable outcomes that deliver value to our clients and their customers.
You’ll make an impact by:

Translating requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria

Producing high-quality artefacts including process maps, gap and impact analysis
-
Supporting delivery teams through refinement and solution design
-
Driving data validation, reconciliation and migration activities
-
Partnering with stakeholders across product, engineering and external clients
Qualifications
About you
You’re an experience Business Analyst with deep payments expertise and the ability to navigate complex, enterprise environments.
Must-have experience:
-
Strong experience in cards switch processing
-
Hands-on knowledge of AS2805 / ISO8583 messaging
-
Experience setting up debit, credit and prepaid card products
-
Solid understanding of dual message processing
-
Knowledge of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, eftpos) and scheme compliance
-
Experience with New Payments Platform (NPP)
-
Understanding of PayID, PayTo, CoP and PACs messaging
-
Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards
Key capabilities:
-
Expert in requirements gathering and documentation
-
Strong experience in process mapping, gap analysis and technical specifications
-
Ability to lead workshops and drive stakeholder alignment
-
Proven experience working with technical teams in agile environments
-
Strong data analysis skills, including SQL and Oracle
Nice to have:
-
Exposure to digital wallets and tokenisation
-
Experience with financial crime / fraud systems in Cards or NPP
