ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at Thebarton Aquatic Centre in Torrensville, you'll be teaching a life-long skill to students of all ages and abilities. You will be planning and delivering swimming lessons, tracking their progress and keeping parents informed along the way. This is a casual role with flexible shifts to suit study or other commitments. Key duties of this role are:
- Planning and delivering swimming lessons in line with the YMCA SA curriculum
- Tracking student progress and communicating regularly with parents and carers
- Supervising pool users actively to ensure safety at all times
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports students and families
- Maintaining equipment setup and safety compliance
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will have, or be willing to obtain:
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
- HLTAID009 Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- RRHAN-EC Masterclass (or willingness to complete)
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for aquatics education
