Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Certification: Perform, supervise, and certify scheduled and unscheduled line and base maintenance on fleet aircraft in strict accordance with technical data, CASA regulations, and company CASR Part 145 expositions.
- Interpret, Evaluate, and Assess: Evaluate and report defects, troubleshoot complex mechanical/systems issues, and ensure the highest quality safety standards are met.
- Versatile Work Environments: Thrive in a dynamic environment across workshops, hangar operations, on-wing repairs, and occasional travel to customer locations.
- Support and Mentorship (For LAME’s): Help shape the next generation of aviation professionals by providing valuable mentoring, guidance, and practical training supervision to AMEs and Apprentices.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Certified Expertise (For LAME’s): Must hold a current CASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence in the B1 category
- AME Experience: Experience on GA & Executive Jet aircraft
- Operational Adaptability (Site Specifics):
- Jandakot Airport Site: Demonstrated experience within a General Aviation (GA) environment, specifically working on Beechcraft, Cessna, and Piper aircraft families.
- Perth Airport Site: Experience with corporate, turboprop, or transport-category aircraft aligned with our airport operations.
- Regulatory Awareness: Solid understanding of CASA airworthiness directives, human factors, and safety management systems (SMS).
- Team Player & Communicator: Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills, with a proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Compliance: Ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), a current Australian Driver’s Licence, and undergo pre-employment medical screening.
