About the role
Join our dedicated maternity team and deliver high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care across the full scope of practice. You will provide compassionate, culturally respectful, women-centred care, empowering women and families while achieving optimal clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care across the full continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.
- Undertake comprehensive maternal and neonatal assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating care within your scope of practice.
- Support normal birth while recognising and responding promptly to clinical deterioration or obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with legislation, policies and professional standards.
- Promote informed decision-making by educating and empowering women and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetric, neonatal and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with Victorian legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement, education and professional development to uphold best practice standards.
What we’re looking for
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife (or dual Registered Nurse/Midwife) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A minimum of 12 months experience across the maternity continuum, with sound knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice and woman-centred care.
- Compassionate, respectful and family-focused approach, with a strong commitment to cultural safety and dignity.
- Highly organised, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
