Full Job Description

We are looking for experienced Heavy Motor Mechanics to join our Workshop team based in Dalby, QLD to :

Perform high precision trade (diesel mechanic) work plus multi-trade skills within the limits of training and competency;
Provide routine, break-down and rebuild maintenance to large mobile and fixed plant, as well as other assets in accordance with established practice and industry standards;
General heavy vehicle diesel mechanical tasks including the use of gear reduction units, fluid couplings and power transmission devices, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Your Experience

Tradesman experienced with heavy (essential) and light vehicles (preferable).
Proven ability to be able to troubleshoot and diagnose faults.
Experienced in all aspects of light vehicles and heavy machinery and plant on civil construction/mine sites.

Your Qualifications

You hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
Have a minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience as a qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic.
You hold a valid, open Australian Driver’s License and General Construction Induction Card or willingness to obtain.
You have demonstrated experience and general knowledge of the construction industry, civil engineering and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards; and
Experience with DIDO/FIFO rosters
