Full Job Description

Permanent Part Time role (2 days a week)

This role lets you make a real impact through high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy, grounded in resident-centred, holistic care. You’ll assess residents’ physical and psychosocial functioning, guiding their capacity for everyday activities, and work closely with them—and those important to them—to shape meaningful, goal-driven care.

Using your expertise in routines, roles, and activity analysis, you’ll design and deliver engaging, holistic therapy programs that boost autonomy, well-being, and quality of life—helping residents participate in activities that matter most to them.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist within Aegis, no day will look the same! You will benefit from a diverse caseload that allows you to apply a broad range of your core skills including but not limited to:

Seating and postural management
Pressure management
Fine and gross motor function
Dementia care
Cultural diversity
Equipment provision
Environmental redesign
Health promotion
Advocate for residents through supporting choice and mitigating risk processes
Leadership
Training and education
Quality Monitoring practices and Continuous improvement.

To excel at this role, you will be supported by a team of Senior Clinicians with the opportunity to participate in peer support activities, ensuring opportunities for personal and professional growth.

About You

Hold a genuine interest in working with older people.
Passion for enablement and rehabilitation.
Customer service ethos with focus on providing a comprehensive and meaningful Occupational Therapy service to all residents.
Have strong attention to detail and solution focussed problem-solving skills.
An appetite for innovation and continuous improvement
Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work independently and within a team environment.

Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced clinician with a foundation in disability, paediatrics, or hospital work and are curious about making the move to residential aged care - we have a supportive team that is happy to help you make the transition.

Essential Requirements

Occupational Therapy qualification and AHPRA registration.
Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance
