The Company
Swick Mining Services, who is part of the global Perenti Group, is Australia’s largest Underground Diamond Drilling Contractor with the most innovative and reliable rigs in the industry operating Australia-wide as well as internationally.

We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle (LV) Fitter to join our Maintenance team on a Permanent, Full-time basis, working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

The Role

Duties are (but not limited to) the following:

Carry out servicing, trouble shooting and fault finding in the Swick field based workshops;
Ensuring statutory servicing and testing is completed, service literature is recorded and forwarded for storing;
Set your own priorities based on discussions in pre-shift meetings with both operations and other maintenance team members
Ensure all paperwork is completed and signed off by relevant parties;
Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock;
Daily work order and time sheet completion and submission.
Closing out faults in Swick’s live Fault register

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:

Relevant Mechanical trade qualification
Current manual C Class Driver License or higher
Recent National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and time management

Desirable:

3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role working with a fleet of light vehicles including Landcruiser, Hilux, Ranger, HiAce buses and Isuzu 4x4.
