We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who is passionate about building secure, reliable, and high performing cloud infrastructure, and who thrives in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in mentoring others, uplifting engineering practices, and ensuring our systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensuring production systems and platforms are secure, reliable, and well maintained
- Building, refining, and improving deployment, monitoring, and provisioning systems
- Maintaining and testing backup and restore solutions
- Designing and enhancing monitoring and alerting for new and existing services
- Contributing to cloud cost optimisation
- Providing technical leadership across SRE, cloud platforms, and automation
- Shaping SRE strategy, processes, and best practices
- Living and leading our Tes values in everything you do
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Experience
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Extensive experience working with AWS (or similar cloud platforms)
- Experience with cloud based backup and restore solutions
- 5+ years in software engineering, SRE or DevOps positions
- Experience in K–12 education technology (nice to have)

- Cloud hosting platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure
- CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, AWS Code Deploy
- Tools & tech: NodeJS, Docker
- Cloud automation: AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform
- Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Bash, Ansible
- Observability: Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana/Loki/Tempo/Mimir
- Operating systems: Windows and Linux
