About the Opportunity
Edward Jacobs is currently working with two established engineering consultancies that are looking to hire experienced Senior Structural Engineers across Sydney and Newcastle.
Both opportunities are suited to experienced Structural Engineers who are ready to take on greater technical responsibility, lead projects and continue progressing their careers.
Depending on the opportunity, you may work across residential, multi-residential, commercial and broader structural engineering projects, taking projects from concept and design through to documentation, construction support and site inspections.

About You
We are looking for Senior Structural Engineers with:
- 5+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience
- Strong experience in structural design and documentation
- Experience across residential and/or multi-residential projects
- Ability to lead structural projects from concept through to detailed design and construction
- Strong design capability across concrete, steel and timber structures
- Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Experience with structural documentation and project delivery
- Strong technical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to conduct or support site inspections and construction-stage activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working directly with clients, architects, builders and other project stakeholders
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- A genuine interest in mentoring and developing less experienced engineers
NSW Design Practitioner registration or eligibility under the DBPA legislation will be highly regarded.
