What you will do
A background in teaching and assessment across kindergarten to senior will be considered highly desirable for this role.
In the Principal Project Officer - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education (Identified) role, you will:
Participate in project teams to provide policy advice and contribute to the development, review and implementation of curriculum, assessment resources and professional learning related to the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline, P-10 Australian Curriculum Version 9.0, and Senior Syllabuses.
Provide specialist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural advice and quality assurance across QCAA curriculum, assessment, resources and professional learning. This includes reviewing, advising and developing resources, assessment tasks and other materials and planning and presenting professional learning to support schools and sectors to implement curriculum and assessment and appropriately embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
Provide expert strategic advice to managers, directors, committees and stakeholders on issues related to curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment, including prepare briefings and correspondence as required.
Manage and deliver projects within agreed timelines and using allocated resources, working collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
Consult with and engage in a range of effective stakeholder relationships, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, education sectors, curriculum authorities and internal QCAA teams to inform the development and review of culturally appropriate curriculum, assessment, resources, and professional learning.
Contribute to a performance development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager and colleagues, and through the implementation of an individual Performance and Development Plan (PDP).
Undertake specific tasks as required to assist the QCAA in achieving its business outcomes, including using data to inform decisions.
Reporting relationships
This role reports to the Manager, Professional Learning Programs. No roles report directly to this role.
