About the Role

As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-informed, person and family-centred care across a variety of clinical settings. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and consumers.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards and evidence-based practice.
Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and responding appropriately to clinical changes.
Coordinating and managing the care of individual patients or groups of patients.
Collaborating with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to achieve optimal care outcomes.
Supporting patient education, discharge planning and health literacy initiatives.
Providing supervision and direction to delegated staff including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and participating in quality improvement activities.
Contributing to a positive, respectful and professional workplace culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Demonstrated commitment to person and family-centred care.
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Understanding of quality, risk management and clinical governance principles.
Experience using electronic clinical information systems.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
