SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a qualified and experienced System Administrator on behalf of our client, a well-established property investment and real estate business located in Blair Athol, South Australia.
Operating within a fast-paced and technology-driven environment, the business provides a broad range of property investment, sales and property management services to clients across South Australia. The business relies on secure, reliable and efficient information technology systems to support day-to-day operations, customer service delivery and ongoing business growth. To ensure the continued performance, security and scalability of its IT infrastructure, the business is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join its team.

Salary - $78,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent
THE ROLE:
The System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the organisation’s ICT infrastructure, networks, servers and business systems. The successful applicant will ensure the security, availability and optimal performance of the organisation’s IT environment while providing technical support to staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Installing, configuring, maintaining and administering server hardware, operating systems and business applications.
· Monitoring and maintaining ICT systems, networks and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability and security.
· Managing user accounts, access permissions, email systems and authentication processes.
· Administering and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments, cloud platforms and associated network services.
· Monitoring system performance, identifying issues and implementing appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
· Performing system upgrades, patches, backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
· Managing network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and internet connectivity.
· Implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect business systems, data and network infrastructure.
· Investigating, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and systems-related issues.
· Providing technical support and training to staff regarding business systems, software applications and ICT procedures.
· Developing and maintaining system documentation, operational procedures and technical manuals.
· Evaluating and recommending improvements to existing ICT infrastructure and business systems to support organizational growth.
· Liaise with external IT vendors, software providers and service partners to coordinate support and system enhancements.
· Ensuring ICT systems comply with organisational policies, data security requirements and industry best practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Relevant qualification, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of three years relevant experience as a System Administrator or in a similar ICT infrastructure support role.
· Demonstrated experience administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
· Experience managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks.
· Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, including Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud technologies.
· Strong understanding of system security, backup processes, disaster recovery and cybersecurity best practices.
· Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, server and network issues.
· Ability to analyse system performance and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide technical support to non-technical users.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining secure and reliable ICT systems.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
