Operations Manager – Barrow Island, W.A – FIFO (Perth only) – 2 on and 2 off
About the role and opportunity on offer -
Are you an experienced operations leader ready for a high-impact role in a complex, remote environment? Join Toll Group as an Operations Manager and take ownership of critical logistics and site operations on Barrow Island (WA).
This is a unique FIFO opportunity where you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive operational excellence, and ensure safe, efficient and profitable delivery for a major client within the energy sector.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of site operations. You’ll oversee people, processes, and assets to ensure delivery meets contractual, safety and performance expectations while continuously improving outcomes.
You will lead a team across supervisors, administrators and operational personnel, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and driving business performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties – but not limited to –
Champion a safety-first culture and ensure a zero-harm operating environment.
Maintain full HSE, statutory and regulatory compliance across all site activities.
Lead, coach and develop teams, driving performance and continuous improvement.
Oversee end-to-end operations including supply base, logistics and warehousing, ports and services activities and supporting project operations.
Optimise utilisation of people, plant and equipment to deliver operational excellence.
Manage costs and maximise profitability through strong commercial discipline.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service exceeds expectations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, KPI performance and corrective actions.
What we are looking for to drive success –
Proven leadership experience in transport, logistics or similar, ideally within remote complex environments.
Strong knowledge of safety, regulatory and compliance standards.
Proven people leader with the ability to build, engage and develop high-performing teams.
Commercially astute with a strong operational and performance-driven mindset.
Highly organised, resilient and adaptable, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
