We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fencer to join our team in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. This is a full-time position offering above award wages, stable hours, and no weekend work.

Key Tasks
– Independently install a full range of fencing types – Colorbond, timber, chainwire, rural post and rail, pool and security fencing – to specification and NCF standard
– Read and interpret plans, drawings and scope of works documents to complete installations correctly
– Set out and establish correct alignment, heights and grades across varying site conditions and terrain
– Set posts to correct depth and alignment using appropriate plant and hand tools
– Install infill panels, rails, capping, gates and hardware to a clean, professional finish
– Identify and manage site hazards, reporting issues to the Leading Hand or Site Supervisor
– Prepare and maintain accurate timesheets, daily job records and site documentation
– Mentor and guide Fencing Labourers and apprentices on site when directed
– Maintain tools, plant and equipment to NCF standards – conduct pre-start checks daily
– Represent NCF professionally in all interactions with clients, head contractors and members of the public
– Fulfil other duties as required by management
Responsibilities
– Complete all fencing installations to NCF quality standards, relevant Australian Standards and client specification
– Take responsibility for the quality and finish of your own work and the work of crew members under your direction
– Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and organised throughout and at completion of each day
– Manage and account for all materials allocated to each job – minimise waste and report shortfalls
– Complete all required site documentation accurately and submit in a timely manner
– Comply with all WHS requirements, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and site-specific safety plans
– Support the Leading Hand and Site Supervisor in achieving daily and weekly production targets

Person Specification
Qualifications
- White Card (Construction Induction Training Card) – required prior to commencement
- Certificate III in Fencing Technology (CPC30920) – highly desirable
- Current clean drivers licence (essential)
- HR/HC driving licence (desirable)
- Relevant plant and equipment competencies as applicable
Experience
- Minimum 3 years hands-on fencing installation experience
- Demonstrated experience across at least 3 fence types – Colorbond, rural, timber, chainwire or pool
- Experience working on both residential and commercial fencing projects
- Experience using post-hole diggers, concrete equipment and installation plant
Skills & Competencies
- Plan reading and interpretation of drawings and scope of works
- Site set-out – correct alignment, grade and height across varied terrain
- Installation of posts, rails, infill, gates and hardware to a high standard
- Understanding of relevant Australian Standards – AS 1926.1, AS 1722, AS/NZS 4600
- Safe operation of relevant tools and plant
