Role Description:
The Production Coordinator works closely with Engineering and Procurement teams to manage purchase requests, ensuring materials are ordered and delivered on time to support project needs. The role also coordinates project activities to maintain alignment with safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer requirements.
Core Duties:
- Coordinate purchase requests from Engineering, liaising with Procurement to obtain quotes and provide updates between teams.
- Track and monitor the status of purchase requests to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Prioritise requests in line with production plans and operational requirements.
- Arrange and manage stock transfers from stores to support project needs.
- Review and analyse supplier quotes, responding to queries and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Track and monitor material availability and inventory levels to ensure continuous support of production requirements or delivery schedule.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and suppliers, proactively managing stakeholder expectations and providing timely updates.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in production administration or coordination within a trade or manufacturing environment is advantageous, though not essential.
- Strong communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
- Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as Oracle.
- Basic knowledge in interpreting technical drawings, engineering changes and material quality requirements.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word and Excel.
- NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain.

The Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) is a connected series of three remote over-the-horizon radars (OTHR) located in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The state-of-the-art defence radar system provides wide-area surveillance at ranges of 1,000 to 3,000 kilometres and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief, and rescue operations.
