We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join us. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in designing and building scalable backend systems, while still contributing to modern frontend experiences.
Key accountabilities

Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Make technical decisions in line with project goals and architectural designs.
- Promote best practices in software development methodologies, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Coach and provide guidance and training to less experienced professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the project needs.
- Write code and develop software components.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, codebase, and best practices.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts.
- Excellent communication skills
Backend (Primary Focus)

Extensive experience with Java/Node.js in building production-grade backend systems.

Strong experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs, including hands-on expertise with Spring Boot.

Deep understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns.
-
Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), deploying scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
-
Strong expertise in cloud-native development, including containers, serverless computing.

Solid experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB), including data modelling and performance optimisation.

Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)

Strong working knowledge of security best practices across application and infrastructure layers.
Frontend (Supporting Capability)

Proficiency in React.js, with experience building reusable components (e.g., Storybook).

Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, React Query).

Familiarity with modern UI frameworks (e.g., Material UI, Ant Design) and responsive design.

Experience integrating with backend services via REST APIs, including authentication and error handling.

Working knowledge of frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library).

Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG), performance optimisation, and cross-browser compatibility.
-
Familiarity with Micro Frontend architecture and related design patterns is considered an advantage.
