Black Diamond Group’s Workforce Solutions Australia Division has a full-time position for Finance Officer.

This is a one-year contract with real potential to grow into something more, giving you the chance to make your mark on a expanding finance operation while building skills across AP, banking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position: Finance Officer (1-year position, end-date July 31, 2027)

Reporting To: VP, WFS, Australia

Location: Stapylton, Queensland

Primary Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Finance & Accounting team located in Stapylton, Queensland. The Finance Officer will report directly to the Finance Controller (AUS) and will be responsible for preparation, processing and reporting of monthly and quarterly invoices, as well as managing the daily banking for the group of entities. This position will manage a specified vendor listing and resolve vendor issues, reconcile vendor accounts and perform ad hoc duties as needed. There will be opportunities for process improvement and interaction with other members of the finance team and those in the operational divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all invoices have been processed in a timely manner
Ensure appropriate approval and supporting documentation, such as purchase orders, exists for all invoices
Processing invoices using three-way match
Participate in the weekly and bi-monthly payment runs and /or emergency payment runs.
Perform vendor reconciliations
Respond to vendor inquiries, maintain good relations and solve problems
Respond to business unit inquiries and maintain good inter –company relations

Prepare AP info for EFT Payments
Monitor Vendor Accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Requests new vendor setup
Ensure all Intercompany Invoices are entered monthly
Reconcile the AP Subledger with the GL
Reconcile payment run with the bank
Monitor the bank transactions on a daily basis
Process cash receipts daily
Complete cashflow information template daily, to assist with forecasting cashflow
Chase debtors and collect debt, including sending formal demand letters
Process end of month journals
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor fuel cards and vehicle register
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary diploma in Accounting or similar
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar high volume processing
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Experience in SAP – Business One, or Netsuite advantageous
Must be fluent in English both oral and written
