The Fire Electrician role at Equans focuses on high-quality fire protection services, requiring specific qualifications like a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and an electrical license. Ideal candidates will have experience in installing and maintaining fire safety systems.

Fire Electrician

The Equans Fire Protection Services Team are looking to expand our team to service some of Adelaide’s premier establishments such as the Department of Defence facilities, Adelaide Airport and SA Housing Trust.

What you will be doing

Installation programming, fault finding and repair of fire panels, EWIS, and other fire electrical equipment.
Installation, modification, and service of FDCIE, EWCIE and FFCP, Pump interface equipment, emergency exit lighting, interfacing with auxiliary services and third-party equipment and other fire electrical equipment
Interfacing with air conditioning BMS systems.
Surveying customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with Equans’ procedures and relevant Australian Standards.
Participate in the on-call roster as required.

Qualification and Licensing Requirements:

Drivers License (Mandatory).
Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Mandatory).
Certificate II or III in Fire Protection (Desirable).
Electrical License (Mandatory).
Defence Clearance or ability to obtain Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain Defence Clearance.
White Card (Mandatory).
EWP <11 m (Mandatory).
MSIC (Maritime Security Identification) Card (Desirable) or ability to obtain.
ASIC (Aviation Security Identification) Card (Desirable) or ability to obtain.
Working at Heights (Desirable).
Open Cable Registration (Desirable).
EAHL License (Extinguishing Agent Handling License) (Desirable).
