We are looking for a collaborative technical leader to steer our multi-cloud ecosystem and champion operational excellence. Leading a mix of internal cloud engineers and a strategic MSP, you will own the day-to-day priorities, risk management, and continuous improvement of our platforms to ensure they remain secure, scalable, and perfectly aligned with our business goals.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of our end-to-end cloud platform delivery across Azure and AWS. You will drive FinOps practices, manage incident outcomes, and provide the technical leadership necessary to maintain a secure, stable, and highly efficient cloud environment.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery and operation of Azure and AWS cloud platform services.
Ensure platform availability, performance, resilience, and ongoing stability.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and act as the primary escalation point.
Establish, implement, and operate effective risk management processes.
Set and manage daily priorities for cloud BAU activities.
Provide clear direction and oversight to MSP engineers.
Review, approve, reject, or reprioritise work requests based on business needs.
Lead incident management and coordinate major incident resolution.
Collaborate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration with systems and processes.
Ensure cloud services meet security, compliance, and platform hardening requirements
You have strong expertise in cloud operations, governance, and compliance, along with a solid understanding of core cloud technologies. You can successfully deliver and support PFB Cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), ensuring they are usable, stable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. You achieve this by providing strong technical leadership and mentoring the team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.
Knowledge and Experience
Extensive experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud services (Azure and AWS).
Demonstrated technical leadership and the ability to guide and influence.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Deep technical expertise across Azure and AWS services.
Experience with cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven experience in FinOps, including show back, chargeback, and cost optimisation.
Ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.
