About Bluestone
Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life more than 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.
About the mine
It is an exciting time at Renison with a robust “Life of Mine Plan” and ongoing capital reinvestment program designed to deliver substantial health, safety, environmental, and efficiency improvements across the operation. Our mission is to be a sustainable, efficient, capable, disciplined and respected tin producer. We will continue on our improvement journey to challenge the way we work optimising our entire operation.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced charge up operator to join our team. You must be able to work within the environment limitations and conditions of the Bluestone underground site while also ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures in the Underground Operation.
This position is offered as a residential or drive-in drive out 7 days on 7 days off shift roster.
Core responsibilities

A Current Shot Firers and RWC Ticket required

To be able to demonstrate Safe Charging of Production and Development shots as per engineer plans

Demonstrate the correct recording and documentation of charges according to plan,
-
Liaising with mine geological, engineering and survey staff

Be able to safely conduct re-entry after blasting, and have good bookkeeping and recording skills

Be able to work with little supervision and be organised in the workplace

Conduct pre-start checks on vehicles and machinery. Accurately recording work completed, hazards requiring attention, machinery condition

Conduct workplace inspections

Ensure consumables are organised for the work

Install and retreat services, where required

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to proactively enhance your skills and competency levels through further training as required for the role whilst maintaining safety as a priority and actively contributing to making the workplace safer.
You will have a current shot firers ticket with experience working in an underground mining environment.
