Salesforce Analyst
Full-Time, Permanent
Based in Melbourne or Sydney
Drive Salesforce innovation at Nextt and lead platform enhancements, optimise processes, and support better outcomes for NDIS clients across Australia.
Build and enhance a complex Salesforce ecosystem that underpins NDIS service delivery across the organisation. This role owns the technical design and delivery of Salesforce enhancements from requirements through to deployment, working closely with internal stakeholders and our external development partner.
We're entering a new chapter
At Nextt, we're passionate about delivering person-centred support. As a leading NDIS provider across QLD, NSW, VIC, and SA, we're committed to supporting people to live their best lives.
We are seeking a hands-on Salesforce technical specialist with strong configuration and development capability and experience with complex automation. This role will take ownership of building and delivering enhancements directly, reducing reliance on our
external vendor for day-to-day configuration and development work. You will also leverage emerging AI capabilities within Salesforce to drive smarter automation and decision-making.
The Role
The Salesforce Analyst acts as the strategic Product Owner of the Salesforce platform across Nextt and Lizard Centre, accountable for ensuring the platform enables safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery at scale. Reporting to the General Manager of Central Services, the role bridges business strategy, operational delivery, and technology by translating complex service, funding, and compliance requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.
We are seeking a technical analyst who is motivated by doing their own system configuration and fixes, capable of managing low to medium complexity development including Flows, data model design, and Apex (beneficial), supported by a Salesforce Admin whose skills they will develop. The business has a solid partnership with an external development vendor who provide expert guidance and delivery for complex and high-risk work.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Salesforce product backlog: triage incoming requests, prioritise enhancements, and manage the delivery cycle from requirements through to deployment
- Run agile delivery ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives, and manage UAT coordination with business stakeholders
- Design and build declarative solutions (Flows, page layouts, permission sets, reports, dashboards) and engage the external vendor for complex development and integration
- Manage the external development vendor relationship: define requirements clearly, review estimates, track delivery against scope, and maintain accountability for outcomes
- Gather requirements from operational teams, map processes, and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across configuration and code, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and platform limits
- Build and maintain intuitive reports and dashboards to support operational decision- making
- Maintain platform governance including change management, documentation, and security practices
- Develop the skills of a supporting Salesforce Admin over time
- Leverage Einstein and Copilot AI capabilities to drive smarter automation where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 5+ years in a Salesforce technical role (Analyst or Developer) with hands-on configuration and build experience
- Salesforce certification (Administrator or Platform Developer preferred)
- Strong experience across Salesforce configuration and development including Flows, data model design, reporting, and Apex (triggers, classes, test coverage)
- Demonstrated experience running agile delivery ceremonies and managing a product
- backlog, including writing user stories, facilitating UAT, and coordinating sign-off with business stakeholders
- Experience managing an external development partner: defining requirements,
- reviewing technical approaches, and holding vendors accountable to scope and timeline
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across both configuration and code
- Exposure to multi-cloud Salesforce environments (Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Marketing Cloud) and integrations with finance, payroll, or rostering systems
- Experience with, or willingness to rapidly learn, Australian payroll or workforce management integrations within Salesforce (e.g. TC9/Time2Pay or similar SCHADS award-based systems)
- Familiarity with Salesforce security, governance, and change management practices
- Proactive mindset toward automation and continuous improvement, with interest or experience in AI capabilities (Einstein, Copilot)
- Experience in the NDIS, healthcare, or allied health sector (highly desirable)
About You
You're a proactive problem solver who thrives on turning complex requirements into simple, effective solutions. You bring strong hands-on Salesforce experience, the ability to design and build solutions independently, and the communication skills to work across operational and technical stakeholders. You're comfortable running a delivery cycle end to end and don't wait for others to manage process or prioritisation for you.
