About the Team
Our Forensic team assists clients in detecting and responding to fraud, bribery,
corruption, money laundering, misconduct, and other financial crime issues, as well as
resolving commercial disputes. We help clients protect their businesses by identifying
discrepancies in facts and figures, non-compliant behaviours, and advising on legal and
regulatory requirements. Applying forensic techniques, investigation, intelligence,
technology, and industry expertise, we help prevent and resolve commercial disputes,
fraud, misconduct, and regulatory breaches.
Your Opportunity:
As a Forensic Data Analytics Manager specialising in wage compliance, you will play a
pivotal role in helping our clients identify and remediate breaches against an employer’s
Enterprise Agreement, Modern Award, National Employment Standards or jurisdictional
based long service leave legislation.

You will be leveraging your experience in business analysis, data investigation, and
analytic skills to identify, investigate, quantify, and report on wage underpayment
matters.
Working with a diverse team of data analysts and subject matter specialists, your work
will help uncover discrepancies, support ethical business practices, and uphold the
rights of workers across Australia.
Responsibilities

Manage the technical design and development of analysis models (SQL or Excel) to identify and quantify wage compliance risks.

Work with subject matter specialists to understand business requirements, resolve ambiguous inputs and identify relevant data sources.

Collaborate with clients to identify the root causes of wage compliance issues and establish remediation plans.

Review data quality and determine impacted cohorts.

Conduct testing, analyse root causes and assess potential fixes.

Document findings and prepare working papers and reports to support analysis outcomes.

Support proposal development and contribute to broader business development activities.

Assist in developing internal data analytics assets and tools.

Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
Experience
-
Experience analysing large and complex payroll and time‑and‑attendance datasets to identify and quantify wage compliance issues.

Minimum of four years’ experience developing SQL, Alteryx or Excel‑based data models.

Proven track record in leading small teams of data analysts, including task allocation, guidance and quality review.

Skilled in translating complex business and legal requirements into clear technical specifications, and preparing written reports or methodologies for presentation to regulators and legal representatives.

Strong project management capability with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines.

Background in professional services is preferred.
Qualifications

Desired tertiary qualifications in a combination of business disciplines (e.g.,
finance, accounting, law) and technical disciplines (e.g., engineering, IT,
computing).
