Serene Golden Wellness Solutions is seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Senior Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker to join our residential care team in Mount Eliza.
This is more than a standard PCA role. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, initiative, and leadership potential who would like to grow into a Team Leader position in the future.
About Us
We operate a supported residential service providing accommodation and daily living support to vulnerable adults, including residents with mental health conditions, disabilities, and age-related support needs. Our focus is on dignity, respect, safety, and creating a positive home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting residents with activities of daily living
- Assisting with medication administration (where qualified)
- Building positive relationships with residents and families
- Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
- Supporting meal service and daily household routines
- Assisting with staff coordination and shift handovers
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent English communication skills
- Is confident communicating with residents, families, and external professionals
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is reliable, organised, and professional
- Has leadership potential and an interest in career progression
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Police Check
- Working rights in Australia
Desirable
- Experience in mental health, disability, SRS, aged care, or residential care settings
- Medication administration experience
- Team Leader or supervisory experience
