Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) delivers healthcare to one of Australia's fastest growing and most diverse communities. Based at Westmead Hospital, this senior leadership role provides strategic oversight of Security Services across Westmead, Auburn, Cumberland, Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, along with Community Health Centres throughout the District.

What you'll be doing
As District Security Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, governance and operational direction for Security Services across WSLHD. You will lead the implementation of the District Security Strategy, ensuring compliance, managing risk and delivering contemporary security solutions that support safe healthcare environments.
Develop and implement district-wide security strategies, policies and risk management frameworks
Lead compliance with the Security Industry Act, WHS legislation, NSW Health standards and security governance requirements
Partner with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to identify risks and deliver effective security outcomes
Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training, rostering, financial performance and contractor management
Drive security audits, incident management, quality improvement programs and service innovation across the District

Extensive experience in managing security issues within a complex organisation and strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
Demonstrated ability to manage the development and monitoring of systems to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with WHS obligations and a commitment and capacity to implement, and provide leadership in government policies and practices, including EEO, cultural diversity, ethical practice and continuous improvement.
