In this role, you'll:
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for data and data products, ensuring customers have access to consistent, accurate and reliable information across different channels, that aligns with the real world.
You’ll also drive customer outcomes and guide execution - from concept to launch - ensuring alignment with Transport for NSW’s strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, and customer experience objectives.
The Senior Product Manager Data for Customers will also be responsible for:
- Developing and owning the strategy, roadmap, and value outcomes for data and data products, aligning them with organisational goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Advising multi-disciplinary delivery teams, often acting as Product Owner, guiding the design, build, launch, and iteration of data for high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with data producers, consumers, and partners to ensure data products, feeds, and integrations meet specifications, regulatory standards and customer information needs.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams and business SMEs to translate complex data, business, and customer requirements into clear goals, use cases, and acceptance criteria for shared understanding.
- Assessing new opportunities and developing value propositions, benefits measures, and lean business cases to demonstrate ROI and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Communicating and championing the product vision and roadmap, engaging stakeholders to build shared understanding, alignment, and advocacy for customer and organisational outcomes.
This is an ongoing full-time position located at Elizabeth Street, Sydney
This role can be based anywhere in New South Wales. The role requires in person attendance on particular days of the week at your local TfNSW office.

About you
You have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
You are experienced in managing products from start to finish in complex, data-driven environments, leading teams from strategy through delivery and ongoing improvement.
You are confident defining data feeds and specifications to support customer information across multiple systems.
You understand data governance and standards, including metadata, data dictionaries, and taxonomies.
You’re able to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery, using data, insights, and experimentation to set priorities, test ideas, and improve outcomes.
You are skilled at engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels - technical, operational, and executive - to align on vision, priorities, and product value.
