Reliability Engineer - Ancillary

Our Opportunity

Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama & Pinikura (PKKP) People

Roster: 4D3R, 4D3R, 8D6R FIFO ex Perth

We are seeking a motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) team at Eliwana as a full-time employee. In this role, you will provide technical and engineering expertise to support data-driven maintenance decisions and optimise equipment performance across the fleet. You will play a key role in driving reliability outcomes through root cause analysis, preventative maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance the efficiency and performance of our HME assets.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with supervisors and workshop teams to deliver practical engineering solutions and continuous improvement
Analyse maintenance data and KPIs to identify trends and drive targeted corrective actions
Provide reliability engineering support aligned with maintenance strategies and Whole of Life plans
Lead Root Cause Analyses for recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions
Optimise maintenance planning and critical spares to improve HME performance and reliability

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in a heavy mobile maintenance environment is preferred.
Exposure to mineral processing or similar industrial environments is advantageous.
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a relevant trade certification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
Proficient communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP) is highly regarded.
