About the role:
The Coordinator Curriculum and Learning Design focuses on designing and developing technology-enriched curricula and implementing digital pedagogies into the curriculum and learning resources. The position involves supporting and engaging with program delivery, content and assessment development, and enhancing and evaluating good practice in learning and teaching.
As part of a collaborative team, this position works to:
- Provide comprehensive support of digital delivery by liaising with internal and external clients to design, develop, implement and maintain all elements of our digital delivery, including online courses and resources, digital communications and engagement tool
- Coordinate and undertake the design, development, delivery and review of high-quality educational resources and compliant online and digital learning content and practices across all Programs; and
- Support teachers and Education staff in building engaging, student-centered activities for hybrid environments that are utilized in class or via relevant platforms
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology or related field; At least 2 years’ experience in LMS administration and instructional design, including proven experience with Learning Management Systems and strong experience using content authoring tools
- Highly developed ICT skills and experience as an instructional designer or curriculum developer, including the ability to write and review effective copy, instructional text, audio / video scripts
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle and Axcelerate
- An understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, adult learning concepts or hybrid learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and project environment, and to work autonomously as needed
- Ability to liaise closely with content experts, to assess program needs and produce and implement effective digital delivery
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate workplace projects effectively, to collaborate with stakeholders and to meet tight timelines
- Desire and ability to quickly learn new development tools and software solutions as required
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and how to implement them in an online platform
