About the Role…
Are you a highly organised Executive Assistant or project coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Do you enjoy supporting senior leaders, managing competing priorities, and being involved in meaningful projects and events?
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the General Manager – Agriculture & Sydney Royal Easter Show.
In this role, you will provide high-level administrative, operational and project coordination support, playing a key part in the smooth running of the GM’s office and the successful delivery of departmental initiatives.
You will be involved across a diverse range of activities, from managing executive schedules and preparing board-level materials, to coordinating projects, stakeholder engagement and supporting major agricultural events, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

You’re an organised and adaptable professional who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with senior stakeholders, and supporting both projects and live events.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, or in a similar role

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-
Experience preparing high-quality reports, presentations and documentation

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
-
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently
-
Experience supporting projects and/or coordinating events (highly regarded)

Flexibility to support occasional evening/weekend work during peak periods
Desirable

Experience within agriculture, research, events, exhibitions, not-for-profit, membership organisations, or similar industries.

Project management qualifications or experience.
