Initial 2-Month Contract | Potential Extension
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for an initial 2-month contract based in Melbourne CBD, with hybrid working arrangements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a complex ICT environment, driving delivery across large-scale, high-impact initiatives—ideally within the public sector.
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning through to operational handover
- Deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline, with strong financial oversight and forecasting
- Manage Agile/SCRUM delivery, including:
- Sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Stakeholder engagement, especially with Product Owners
- Scope and change control
- Provide regular reporting to Steering Committees and senior executive stakeholders
- Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary teams, including:
- Business Analysis
- Solution, Security, Data & Infrastructure Architecture
- Development & Testing
- Drive software development and/or COTS implementation initiatives
- Minimum 5+ years’ Project Management experience
- Proven experience working in complex ICT environments (government experience highly regarded)
- Strong experience reporting to senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders
- Formal project management certification (PRINCE2 or PMBOK)
- Demonstrated Agile/Scrum Master experience within SCRUM delivery frameworks
- Proven track record managing financials implementations in large, complex environments
- Hands-on experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and governance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver outcomes in fast-paced settings
