AAF Australia is seeking an experienced and highly motivated National Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for developing, implementing, and executing national marketing initiatives that support business growth, strengthen brand positioning, and drive customer engagement across multiple market segments.
This position is ideally suited to a marketing professional with substantial experience in the HVAC, air filtration, ventilation, or indoor air quality industries. The successful candidate will possess strong technical understanding, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively engage with customers, sales teams, distributors, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Business Development
- Develop, implement, and manage national marketing plans aligned with business objectives and revenue growth targets.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activities within the HVAC and air filtration sectors.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Senior Leadership teams to support strategic business initiatives.
- Measure and report on marketing campaign effectiveness, lead generation performance, and return on investment (ROI).
Technical Marketing & Product Support
- Develop technical marketing materials, product literature, case studies, application guides, white papers, and customer presentations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of HVAC systems, air filtration technologies, IAQ regulations, sustainability initiatives, and industry standards.
- Monitor developments in government regulations, industry compliance requirements, healthcare guidelines, and environmental legislation affecting indoor air quality.
- Support product launches and market introductions through coordinated marketing campaigns and customer communications.
Trade Shows & Industry Events
- Lead the planning, budgeting, coordination, and execution of national trade exhibitions, conferences, customer seminars, and industry events.
- Manage event logistics, supplier relationships, promotional materials, booth design, and post-event reporting.
- Represent the company professionally at industry functions and networking events.
Digital Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop, manage, and execute digital marketing strategies across multiple channels to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation.
- Create, write, and publish engaging content for social media platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels.
- Develop technical and educational content related to HVAC systems, air filtration, indoor air quality, sustainability, healthcare, and industry applications.
- Manage all company social media accounts, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
- Create and maintain a content calendar aligned with business objectives, product launches, industry events, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor social media trends, industry news, competitor activities, and emerging digital marketing opportunities.
- Coordinate the production of graphics, videos, animations, photography, and other digital assets to support marketing campaigns.
- Manage company websites, email marketing campaigns, digital advertising, and online customer communications.
- Track, analyse, and report on digital marketing and social media performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all digital platforms and customer touchpoints.
Administration & Marketing Operations
- Manage marketing budgets, forecasts, expenditure tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate promotional inventory, branded merchandise, literature stock, and marketing resources.
- Coordinate supplier quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and marketing-related procurement activities.
- Ensure all marketing documentation, approvals, and records are maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in a marketing role within the HVAC, air filtration, ventilation, building services, mechanical services, or indoor air quality industry.
- Demonstrated experience marketing technical products and solutions to engineers, consultants, contractors, facility managers, healthcare facilities, and industrial customers.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, air filtration technologies, clean air solutions, and indoor air quality principles.
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans with measurable business outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into customer-focused content.
- Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and social media management.
- Experience managing trade exhibitions, industry events, and customer engagement programs.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Highly Desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with filtration, cleanroom, healthcare, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, data centre, or industrial HVAC markets.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, healthcare guidelines, sustainability initiatives, and indoor air quality regulations.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and CRM systems.
- Graphic design, video editing, or content creation experience.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
