As Principal Engineer, DevOps within our Data Analytics Services, technical engineering teams at eHealth NSW, you will lead the design, build and operation of the enterprise data platforms and data products that NSW Health relies on to deliver safer, smarter, patient-centred care.
This role offers the opportunity to shape platform roadmaps, embed modern DevOps and DataOps practices, and take complex, large-scale data solutions from concept through to resilient, production-grade services on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and Snowflake.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the engineering of enterprise data platforms and data products – owning their build, operation and continuous improvement in line with architecture roadmaps and customer needs
- Drive DevOps and DataOps maturity by embedding CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing and release management across data and platform workloads
- Guide senior engineers through delivery ceremonies to refine, size and implement complex data pipelines and platform changes, with high-quality technical documentation
- Manage complex incidents, changes and resiliency testing to keep data platforms and products secure, optimised, stable and highly available
- Champion your Capability Area Group by maintaining expertise in emerging data, cloud and engineering trends and uplifting capability across the team
