About the role
You will play a pivotal role in stabilising operations, streamlining processes, strengthening governance, and enhancing the overall user experience, directly supporting DCS’s vision of delivering trusted, customer-focused digital services.
The role involves navigating platform complexity, ensuring timely updates and compliance, and addressing areas where specialised UKG expertise is required.
Key responsibilities:

Monitoring system performance and ensuring platform availability

Managing user access, onboarding, and role-based permissions

Troubleshooting incidents and resolving platform issues

Liaising with the UKG vendor on updates, defects, and enhancements

Testing and implementing system updates and changes

Conducting security checks and ensuring compliance

Maintaining documentation and reporting on system performance
-
Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement
We are seeking someone who is collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented, who demonstrates:

Hands-on experience with UKG Pro

Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills

Experience managing vendor relationships and updates

Knowledge of cloud platforms and security best practices

Ability to proactively manage incidents and prioritise effectively

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience with automation and process optimisation

Ability to work within a fast-paced environment

Commitment to occasional out-of-hours work during system updates or incidents

Our recruitment process
Our recruitment and assessment process is merit based. For this recruitment we will be conducting a minimum of three interview and assessment stages that form a comparative process. This will include:
1. Panel behavioural interview
2. Presentation
3. Skills Assessment
4. Reference checks
Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell and Parramatta. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required. At the point an employee is notified of our intention to assign them to a role, the relevant leader will discuss headquarter options.
