We are seeking a motivated Junior Content Producer and Design Assistant to support the creation of video, photography, podcast and design content for EIT and its affiliated brands.
Based in our West Perth campus, this role suited to a junior or graduate creative who is looking to build experience across content production, design, video, photography, podcasting and marketing. The role will be responsible for supporting on-the-ground content needs, including filming, photography, podcast recording, event content and internal creative support.
The successful candidate will report to the Design and UX Lead and work closely with the wider Marketing team, designers and other internal stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organised, willing to learn and comfortable supporting both practical content production and design-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Content Producer and Design Assistant will be responsible for:
Video Production and Filming
- Supporting on-the-ground video shoots in Australia.
- Assisting with filming student stories, staff interviews, campus content, event footage, course videos and promotional content.
- Setting up basic filming equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting and tripods.
- Capturing footage that can be edited by the wider design and video team.
- Working with the Design and UX Lead to plan shoot requirements, locations, shot lists and production schedules.
- Ensuring filming files are organized, labeled and shared correctly after each shoot.
Photography
- Capturing photography for campuses, students, staff, events, facilities, laboratories and marketing campaigns.
- Supporting the creation of a stronger internal photo library.
- Ensuring images are organized, edited where required and stored correctly for future use.
- Assisting with website image updates, article imagery and social media content.
- Helping improve the quality and relevance of visual assets used across the website and marketing materials.
Podcast and Audio Support
- Supporting podcast recording sessions.
- Assisting with equipment setup, guest preparation and recording coordination.
- Helping ensure audio and video files are saved, labeled and shared correctly.
- Supporting the wider team with basic podcast production tasks where required.
Design and Creative Support
- Assisting designers with overflow tasks.
- Supporting simple graphic design requests such as resizing assets, preparing social media graphics, updating templates and formatting collateral.
- Assisting with some UX and design tasks under the direction of the Design and UX Lead.
- Helping prepare assets for campaigns, events, EDMs, articles, websites and social media.
- Supporting merchandise, brochures, presentations, flyers and general collateral where required.
Event and Campus Content Support
- Attending relevant events, shoots, open days or campus activities to capture video and photography.
- Supporting the production of content for webinars, on-campus activities, student events and promotional campaigns.
- Helping coordinate staff or student participation in shoots when required.
- Capturing behind-the-scenes content for social media and student engagement.
Workflow and Team Collaboration
- Reporting to the Design and UX Lead.
- Working closely with designers, the website team, content team and wider marketing team.
- Managing assigned tasks in ClickUp or the relevant project management system.
- Communicating clearly about progress, deadlines and blockers.
- Taking direction and feedback professionally.
- Supporting the team with flexible creative assistance where required.
Key Skills and Experience
- A qualification or developing experience in media production, graphic design, photography, film, communications, marketing or a related field.
- Basic experience with camera, audio and lighting equipment.
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma or similar tools.
- Interest in video production, podcasting, social media and digital design.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work with staff, students and stakeholders in a professional manner.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support different types of creative work.
Key Performance Indicators
The role will be measured against the following KPI areas:
1. Video and Shoot Support
- Support the planning and delivery of regular video shoots.
- Capture clear, usable footage for student stories, staff interviews, events, campus content and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure shoot files are organised, labeled and uploaded promptly.
- Support the team’s goal of producing regular video content across EIT and affiliated brands.
2. Photography Output
- Capture high-quality photography for website, social media, events, campaigns and internal content libraries.
- Support ongoing updates to website and marketing imagery.
- Maintain an organised image library that can be used by the wider marketing and design team.
- Help reduce reliance on outdated or generic imagery.
3. Podcast and Audio Support
- Assist with podcast setup, recording and file management.
- Help ensure podcast sessions run smoothly from a production support perspective.
- Maintain organised audio and video files for editing and publishing.
4. Design Assistance and Overflow Support
- Complete assigned junior-level design tasks within agreed timelines.
- Assist designers with overflow work where required.
- Support basic design updates, resizing, formatting and asset preparation.
- Take direction from the Design and UX Lead on UX and design-related support tasks.
5. Event and On-the-Ground Content
- Attend relevant events, open days, shoots or campus activities to capture content.
- Provide timely delivery of event photography and video files.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and social media-friendly content where appropriate.
6. Organization and Communication
- Keep creative assets organized and accessible.
- Update task progress in the project management system.
- Communicate clearly with the Design and UX Lead and wider team.
- Ask questions early when a brief is unclear.
- feedback accurately and professionally.
7. Growth and Development
- Build capability across video, photography, editing, design and production workflows.
- Take initiative to learn new tools, techniques and brand requirements.
- Contribute ideas for improving visual content and production processes.
