You don’t need previous batching experience - we’re open to training the right person who is eager to learn, has a strong work ethic and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment!

Working alongside another Plant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting major construction and infrastructure projects across Melbourne!
Your responsibilities will include:

Scheduling and allocating agitator drivers and trucks to customer jobs
-
Operating the concrete batching system (Command)
-
Coordinating drivers and ensuring deliveries are on time
-
Handling customer updates, delays, rescheduling and service issues
-
Monitoring stock levels and coordinating raw material requirements (including operating a front-end loader)
-
Completing plant pre-starts, daily housekeeping and ensuring safe plant operation
-
Processing delivery dockets and end-of-day administration
-
Supporting fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility compliance
-
Maintaining environmental and safety standards across the site
-
Conducting toolbox talks and safety meetings
-
Liaising with customers, drivers and internal operational teams throughout the day
Hours: Monday – Friday (rostered shifts are between the hours of 5am – 5pm, with flexibility needed for busy periods) and you may be required to participate in Saturdays as required
About You:
We are open to experienced concrete industry candidates as well as strong operational professionals from related industries who bring the right attitude and willingness to learn. To be successful, you will ideally have:
-
Experience in concrete, construction, civil, transport or building materials (eg batching, concrete operations, logistics coordination or plant operations)
-
Strong customer service and communication skills
-
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
-
A proactive and safety-focused mindset
-
