Salary - $76,000 - $86,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Fitter with strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for precision engineering. You must be reliable and committed to delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:
· Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, work instructions and job requirements to determine materials, tools and equipment needed for each task.
· Fit, assemble, install and align metal parts, mechanical components and industrial machinery in accordance with engineering specifications.
· Operate workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools to cut, drill, shape and prepare metal components for assembly and installation.
· Inspect, measure and test machine parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure correct tolerances and fit.
· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, blow moulding machinery, bottle printing machines, air compressors, water chillers and plastic recycling equipment.
· Dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical equipment and replace worn or defective components to minimise machinery downtime.
· Cut, bend, thread, fit and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes, tubing and associated fittings for machinery and equipment.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, testing and replacing damaged or worn mechanical parts.
· Test and commission machinery and equipment following installation and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Maintain workshop tools, testing equipment and spare parts inventory, including organising replacement parts and supplier support where required.
· Follow workplace health and safety procedures, use personal protective equipment correctly and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Collaborate with supervisors, machine operators and maintenance team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and support ongoing production operations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Certificate IV (or agreed equivalent) in Mechanical Fitting or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years (preferably more) experience as a Fitter in a similar role or industry.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Hands-on experience with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics.
· Attention to detail, quality workmanship, and effective communication.
· A professional, organised and process-driven approach.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full-time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
WHAT IS ON OFFER:
· A competitive salary of $76,000 to $86,000 (dependent on experience) plus superannuation per annum.
