Full Job Description

Volvo Group has been in Australia since 1972 and has a strong track record of helping our customers succeed in their respective industries. Volvo Group Australia manages the manufacturing, distribution and operation of well-known brands such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Financial Services.

What you will do

Working as part of our Group Digital and IT team, you will be engaged in a 6 month fixed term contract to support internal customers by maintaining our network and server infrastructure for Volvo Group Australia.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Network configuration & troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs)
Routing & switching (BGP,VRF, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT)
Troubleshooting telephony systems (MS Teams Telephony, Cisco / CUCM, Genesys)
Firewall and network security management
Wireless network deployment and support
Utilisation of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Netflow)
Incident management and root cause analysis
Hardware/software network issue resolution
Performance tuning and capacity planning
Use of ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Confluence, Devops)
Work collaboratively with other teams to maintain the server infrastructure and provide onsite support to maintain high availability.

Proven success working in a network support role with a large commercial organisation
CCNA / CCNP certification as well as Cisco routing and switching knowledge
Project management skills
Strong systems experience across the Microsoft suite
A proactive and positive team player who can work well with remote teams
Flexibility to work weekends if the need arises (with appropriate compensation).
