Roles and Responsibilities :
- Must be Australia citizen or resident.
- Preferably based in Melbourne or anywhere remote in Australia.
Essential Responsibilities:
o Define and continuously evolve end-to-end technical implementation vision and strategy for GridOS DERMS product aligned with GridOS platform strategy ensuring the implementation supports regulatory and grid modernization trends.
o Technical leadership that raises the standard, quality for technical delivery and excellence through influence, mentorship, and decisive technical direction
o Act as a technical thought leader and serve as a final escalation point with key utility customers, demonstrating expertise in GridOS DERMS, grid operations, and distributed energy ecosystems
o Establish standardized GridOS DERMS implementation frameworks and methodologies, including reference architectures, configuration models, deployment templates and integration patterns to ensure consistency across all projects.
o Standardize GridOS DERMS product suite delivery and deployment leveraging consistent Kubernetes based microservices patterns, accelerating delivery, simplifying integration, and ensuring high reliability and scalability across all customer programs.
o Work with our customers as a technical partner to customize the solution to cater to customer requirements wherever necessary for compliance within the established governance & implementation frameworks
o Author, standardize and maintain GridOS DERMS Implementation Playbooks covering Kubernetes cluster configuration, capacity requirements for customer specific implementations, microservice deployment workflows, API governance and integration approaches, Standard monitoring, logging, and security patterns. Ensure all customer deployments follow repeatable, validated, and supportable cloud native hybrid or on-prem patterns.
o Work collaboratively with a strong team of Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads, Solution Specialists and global team to drive solution architecture based on customer needs solution capabilities along with input into project status, risks and mitigation, scope, and issues
o Utilize GE Product knowledge including but not limited to GridOS, DERMS, Connect and Data Fabric and expertise to drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement around costs base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement
Technical Requirements
o Highly proficient in designing, deploying, and managing large scale microservices architectures with deep hands on expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) orchestration and multi cluster management using Rancher (RKE2).
o Skilled in implementing containerized workloads, service meshes, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and end to end observability across distributed systems.
o Advanced proficiency in ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows, multi cluster orchestration, automated drift detection, progressive delivery, Kustomize/Helm templating.
o Experienc ed in architecting resilient GitOps, DevSecops CD with Kubernetes with enterprise-grade security controls.
o Proficient in PKI and Zero Trust security frameworks with deep expertise in implementing TLS/mTLS across distributed energy systems, microservices, and utility grade platforms.
o Experienced in designing and enforcing identity centric security using automated certificate management, hardened trust chains, secure aggregator integrations, and end to end encryption of data-in-motion for regulated utility environments.
o Technical Thought Leadership and expertise in DevSecOps, GitOps principles, processes and tools for evolving the processes of continuous deployment of GridOS DERMS product in multi-cloud, hybrid, on-prem or edge platforms utilizing zero-trust and defence-in-depth security architecture principles.
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and/or Microsoft Azure Administrator with extensive mastery of cloud frameworks, zero trust cloud architectures, hybrid cloud deployment models, secure landing zones architecture, and cloud-native enablement for highly regulated DER and utility platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or engineering or have the relevant hands-on experience to succeed.
o 15 plus years of enterprise application development, deployment, and integration experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
o DevSecOps, GitOps processes, principles, tools and methodology
o Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and / or GCP Cloud Platforms Technologies.
o RHEL 8+, RHEL 9, Linux OS and shell scripting.
o Configuration Management - Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, GitOps - ArgoCD
o Microservices based architecture - Docker, Kernel-based VM, Kubernetes, Rancher – RKE2 Engine
o Knowledge on relational and non-relational databases - PostgresSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached
o Kafka, Nginx, HA Proxy, Apache, Python, JSON, YAML, Bash, Gitea, GitHub, Gitlabs, JFrog Artifactory
o Pipeline integration with DevOps Tools such as GIT, Docker, K8 containers, SonarQube, Nexus, Vault, test automation, Fortify, and Twistlock, Gitea, and Jenkins.
o Agile/Lean principles such as SCRUM, Kanban, MVP.
o Knowledge of security best practices including authentication protocols, TLS, MTLS, Zero-trust Security, ACL rules, and Identity Management mechanisms.
o Experience working with Azure, Windows and Linux Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Systems, and Infras
