PHE High Voltage is expanding, and we’re on the hunt for an experienced and driven High Voltage Electrician to become a vital part of our team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Brisbane with endless opportunities to grow and work on exciting projects.
In this role, you will:

Install, inspect, and maintain high voltage electrical equipment and systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in high voltage systems and components.

Perform regular preventive maintenance to prevent system failures.

Collaborate with engineering teams to implement high voltage system upgrades and modifications.

Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards for high voltage work.

Document all work performed, including Inspection Test Plans and Reports.

Mentoring junior electricians and apprentices.
ABOUT YOU:
-
Strong understanding of high voltage safety procedures and regulations.
-
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
-
Familiarity with Raychem, Nexans, and Sicame products.
-
Experience in terminating cables up to 33kV
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Physical fitness and adaptability to various environmental conditions.

Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed.

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings

Previous HV termination experience
The successful candidate will have:
-
Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech
-
QLD Electrical License
-
HV Switching Certificate (preferred, but not essential)
-
Cert III in Distribution Cable Jointing or Relevant manufacturers certificates (preferred, but not essential)
-
Current CPR/LVR certification (within the last 9 months)

Unrestricted C Class Driver’s License

White/Blue Construction Card
