An exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to lead the Clinical Services team at GEO Healthcare
Located across the Grampians, Loddon Mallee, Hume Regions area,
Attractive salary at $176,000 base plus superannuation
Joining GEO Healthcare, the Area Manager Clinical Services is a key member of the Clinical Services Team and will support GEO Healthcare’s delivery of Primary Healthcare Services to public prisons in Victoria.
Based at a negotiated office location within your region, you will report to the Director, Clinical Services with the role responsible for the coordination of primary healthcare service delivery at GEO Healthcare locations within your allocated Region and for coordinating state-wide and network resources across your allocated Region as well as Health Pathways Coordination (which manages the flow of patients between service locations, planned specialist appointments and treatments in the community). You will also manage and support the Health Service Managers at each location, to provide safe quality primary healthcare services at their location/s that meet the service specifications and contractual requirements.
While being supported and led by the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture and carry out all duties in accordance with the GEO Healthcare Values – Understanding, Respect, Accountability, Teamwork, Excellence.
You will be required to attend GEO Health locations within the subject area and, at times, attend other locations if necessary.
By successfully contributing to a transition of provider and continuing to deliver and exceed the role’s key accountabilities you will actively contribute to a service that will achieve positive healthcare outcomes for people in prison which is a key element in reducing recidivism across the prison system.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Post-graduate qualifications related to health and health service management.
- Experience in operationally managing complex health services.
- Demonstrated experience in leading clinical governance and clinical risk management.
- Demonstrated capacity and experience in implementing sound resource management principles and policies.
- Experience in managing care navigation/coordination of patient care across multiple locations and/or service providers.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships with staff, the client and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and maintain highly performing and productive teams and successfully implement change within work environments.
- Experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical policy, procedures and practice.
- Experience in health service accreditation.
Other Requirements of the role:
- Ability to work within a correctional setting which will involve direct contact with prisoners associated with the delivery of healthcare.
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary hours may be required.
