Position Responsibilities

Preparation of SMSF Financial Statements
-
Completion of SMSF Annual Returns
-
Preparation of Tax Reconciliations
-
Reconciliations of investment balances and investment returns
-
Calculation of pension liabilities
-
BAS & IAS Statements as required
-
Preparation of electronic workpapers
-
Preparation of audit package and liaising with external auditors
-
Preparation of Trustee documentation
-
Ensuring work completion satisfying budget and time constraints
-
Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC
-
Work with the Client Director and team to ensure client work is completed within the timeframe allocated
-
Preparation of correspondence to clients and other bodies as required
-
Other tasks as required
About you
-
Experience in a chartered accounting practice, with exposure to SMSF or a strong interest in developing SMSF expertise
-
Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time management abilities
-
Excellent written and verbal communication
-
Degree qualified, CA completed or near completion
-
Experience with or accounting software such as MYOB and Excel; exposure to Class Super and HowNow is a bonus
-
Proactive, self‑motivated, and client‑focused
-
Eager to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility over time
