Full Job Description

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future-Oriented

In this role you will:

Install and commission depot workshop equipment at the Orchard Hills Stabling & Maintenance Facility as part of a major rail infrastructure project.
Support project installation and commissioning teams with hands-on mechanical trade expertise.
Install and commission mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for specialised depot equipment.
Operate tools, specialised equipment and measuring devices to safely complete installation and commissioning activities.
Attend occasional off-site callouts to support in-service failures during the project phase.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Siemens, client safety standards and rail site requirements, including JSEA and risk assessments.

Your qualifications and skills to create a better tomorrow

Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering / Fitting & Machining.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial mechanical installation and commissioning environments.
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; plumbing skills desirable.
Rail Induroustry Worker (RIW) card and Working at Heights certification and confined space.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of depot workshop / heavy industrial equipment such as wheel lathes, overhead cranes, heavy lifting equipment, automatic train wash systems, material handling equipment and workshop machinery.
