Full Job Description

Position: Retail Manager

Job types: Permanent full-time

Location: Brickworks Marketplace, Shop 27/38 South Rd, Torrensville SA 5031, Australia

Salary: $80,000/year (plus superannuation)

Start date: as soon as possible

Main responsibilities:

· Managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, customer service, and operational workflow

· Supervising, training, and coordinating staff to ensure efficient operations and high standards of customer service

· Preparing staff rosters, monitoring staff performance, and managing staffing requirements during peak trading periods

· Ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional manner

· Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to improve revenue, productivity, and operational efficiency

· Determining product mix, stock levels, and inventory requirements to meet customer demand and maximise sales opportunities

· Managing inventory control processes, conducting stocktakes, and maintaining records of stock movement, wastage, and stock availability

· Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely product delivery

· Monitoring cash handling procedures, reconciling daily sales, and maintaining financial and transactional records

· Assisting with budgeting, expense control, and achieving sales and profitability targets

· Implementing promotional activities, merchandising strategies, and local marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and sales performance

· Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and operational procedures

· Maintaining store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards at all times

· Preparing operational and sales performance reports for management review

· Coordinating maintenance and servicing of store equipment and facilities as required

Other requirements are:

- Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours

(Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)

- Qualifications: Diploma level, preferably in Hospitality/ Business/ Leadership/

Management

- Previous experience: At least 1 year working as a Retail Manager

- Skills: Strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, financial

management, exceptional customer service, knowledge of food safety

standards, and compliance with health regulations.

- Language: Conversant in English
