About SJES
SJ Eng Servs Pty Ltd (SJES) is a specialist mid-tier rotating equipment partner to the Western Australian mining and quarrying sectors, headquartered in Baldivis WA. We deliver maintenance and repair, shutdowns and projects, commissioning and startup, and construction and install scopes across crushers, mills, pumps, screens, conveyors, drive systems and fixed plant — verified to a precision laser alignment standard of ±0.02 mm. The role
Full-time Crusher Technician based out of our Baldivis (Perth) operational base, with FIFO / DIDO travel to mining and quarrying sites across the Pilbara, Murchison and Goldfields regions of Western Australia. Salary
$76,515 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience. Site allowances and overtime additional where applicable.
Primary duties
- Install, maintain, service and change out crushing equipment — including jaw, cone, gyratory and impact crushers — on Western Australian mining and quarrying sites under planned, unplanned and shutdown work scopes.
- Execute crusher shutdown scopes including pitman change-outs, bowl liner and mantle changes, concave relines, eccentric shaft and countershaft inspection, spider bearing inspection, and hydraulic and lubrication system service, working within critical-path windows.
- Perform precision laser alignment of crusher drive trains (motor, gearbox, pinion) to ±0.02 mm tolerance, with documented baseline measurements, vibration baseline capture and load-test verification on first start.
- Capture pre- and post-change condition baselines and produce written condition reports and alignment reports to support wear-trending and the client’s next maintenance cycle.
- Author and execute equipment-specific Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and apply isolation and lockout / tagout, working at heights, confined space, hot work, lifting and rigging, and hazardous energy permits in accordance with the WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Liaise with site maintenance planners, shutdown coordinators and OEM technical representatives to deliver on-time, on-spec scope completion to AS/NZS ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.

- Demonstrated experience with precision laser alignment to tight tolerances, with the ability to consistently achieve ±0.02 mm or better.
- Hands-on experience with major OEM crusher platforms such as Metso, Sandvik or Outotec — for example HP cone series, C140 jaw, or 60-89 gyratory.
- Demonstrated experience working within shutdown critical-path windows.
- Strong written documentation skills (alignment reports, condition reports, JSAs).
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
