Laurent Bakery has always been driven by love and respect for the craft of French artisan baking and exists as a homage to the values of a village bakery.

Our cafes are a Melbourne staple when it comes to French quality products with a 30year+ history around our beautiful cakes, scrumptious pastries and mouthwatering sandwiches and croquets.

Our company is growing and with it comes a new and exciting opportunity for experienced cafe all-rounders to join our brand-new licensed French cafe in the heart High Street, Kew.

Responsibilities

We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Cafe all-rounders to join our team in our brand-new French cafe opening in High Street Kew in April.

We will be building a super friendly cafe team, focused on providing an exceptional experience to our customers on each and every visit. In the future we expect to be licensed so applicants should hold a current Victorian RSA certificate.

As a Cafe all-rounder, you will thrive in a fast-paced hands-on role supported by a passionate Store Manager and high performing team who are excited to sell our luxury brand. By providing support around the multiple stations in our café, you will support the team effort to achieve high standards in customer service, product quality and luxury café experience.

The role will involve working the register, preparing food at our processing station, creating amazing coffees (we provide Barista training), serving customers on the floor, and working as a team to maintain hygiene, cleanliness and French luxury standards.

We have full time, part time and casual roles available. Your roster will be flexible and may include rotation across shifts. Work on weekends and some public holidays is also required.

What you will bring

Hands on mindset and high energy to keep with the fast-paced environment of our cafes
Deliver and maintain the highest standard of customer service to our valued customers
Exposure to a busy cafe environment
Barista experience preferred
RSA qualification required
Weekend and public holiday work will be required
Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage industry is needed
