The opportunity
We are currently seeking a Process Training Advisor to join our Processing team at our Duketon operation. In this role, you will assist in planning, coordinating and administering site-based training programs and assessments in consultation with the Training Department to support the development and capability of Process Operations personnel.
This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster (ex-Perth).
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Coordinate and liaise with the Site Training Department to conjointly deliver training for the Processing Department
Assist with the development of training pathways for new Process Technicians to progress to Shift Supervisor
Developing, reviewing and maintaining SWI’s, Process training documentation and Process procedures
Coordinate the maintenance of the Processing Training Needs Analysis incorporating requirements from Processing Department and broader site/company requirements as outlined by the Training department
Ensure that the processing facility operates in accordance with statutory requirements
Lead the development, and implementation of the Crew Trainer program
Provide ongoing direction, support and coaching to crew trainers in delivering operational training
Support the Processing operations area and Capability Superintendent with the identification and sourcing of suitable courses from external sources
Provide assistance with the design, development and delivery of internal training packages to meet business needs of Process Operations
Assist in the coordination of on-site and off-site training
Conduct training courses and assessments including, but not limited to, orientation workshops, VOCs, safety awareness programs and inductions
Support training department as required in ad hoc delivery of programs, VOCs etc for processing and non-processing personnel
Facilitate and support all online training requirements
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Gold Processing (crushing, milling, gravity recovery, CIL, tailings placement) / Mining operational experience
Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
Experience with training systems such as INX Intuition
Strong understanding of training and assessment practices and associated legislation
Sound computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
