The Role
This Brisbane-based role reports to the Manager Health and Hygiene and will see you provide technical assistance, support and expert advice on health standards, systems and processes across operations.
You will act as a trusted advisor, influencing and coaching leaders to drive positive change in mindsets, behaviours and practices. Working closely with operational teams, you will support decision making while embedding best-practice health management across the business.
You will take ownership of strategic health initiatives, strengthening risk controls and improving overall health outcomes across the workforce.
Design and deliver health and wellbeing programs across fitness for work, psychosocial risk, fatigue and more
Oversee health surveillance and periodic medical programs aligned to legislation and best practice
Support fitness for work processes including pre-employment medicals and complex health matters
Develop and improve frameworks for injury and illness management and return-to-work outcomes
Coach and mentor leaders and employees to build frontline health capability
Partner with teams to improve health exposures and support occupational hygiene programs

What you’ll bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Tertiary qualifications in a recognised health or allied health discipline
Occupational health experience, ideally within mining, manufacturing or heavy industry
Strong knowledge of psychosocial risk, health surveillance, injury management and WHS legislation
Proven ability to coach, influence and guide stakeholders
Class C Drivers Licence and ability to obtain Explosives security clearance
