Senior Psychiatric Nurse

About the role

Provide senior mental health nursing leadership across the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program at Eastern Health to strengthen clinical governance, workforce capability and consumer outcomes. Lead clinical governance, quality and practice improvement initiatives, and support the DON to deliver the mental health nursing strategy and models of care.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Key Selection Criteria (as listed in the Position Description)
Current nursing registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing and/or leadership
Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Enthusiasm, energy and drive

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
